Robin Ray Voeltz was born on October 27, 1962, in De Smet, SD, to LeRoy Voeltz and Shirley Christie. Robin grew up in Madison, SD and worked hard all of his life and most recently Amert Construction.

In August 1981, Robin’s first child Jason Allen was born; almost four years later, Robin’s daughter Jennifer Lynn was born in January 1985.

Robin’s most treasured accomplishments besides his children and grandchildren were his 17 years of AA. AA gave Robin the resources and opportunities to do what he loved most, helping people, and giving them tools to succeed. Robin was an avid pool player and placed 1st in the SD State pool tournament in 2019.

Robin was an amazing son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend. He was the kind of person who put others needs before his own. He gave the best advice and had a strong work ethic.

Robin will be remembered most for his honesty, integrity, reliability, compassion and love of pool, poker, and racing. Robin’s dedication allowed him to work up until a week before his passing. Robin’s fight against cancer was both admirable and graceful.

Robin will be deeply missed by his daughter, Jennifer Kriech (Tony Miller); son, Jason Kriech (Jen Jorgensen); four grandkids, Connor, Jaylynn, Lane and Jacob; his mother, Shirley (Don) Christie; two sisters, Linda (Dean) Walker and Janice (Randy) Maas; two brothers, Martin (Judy) Voeltz and Kevin Voeltz; sister-in-law, Grace Voeltz and many nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, LeRoy Voeltz; sister, Betty; brother, Larry and grandparents.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the Amert family for their blessings during Robin’s battle against cancer. We also want to thank Skeeter Hansen and the Pink Ladies.
