Robert Lundin, age 92, of Madison, passed away Friday, January 17, 2020 at Bethel Lutheran Home from natural causes.

Memorial services will be 11 AM on Saturday, January 25th at St. John Lutheran Church with Rev. Elizabeth Pagnotta officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Robert Dennis Lundin was born north of Oldham, at the family farm, on February 23, 1927, the son of David & Anna (Jensen) Lundin.  He grew up in Oldham graduating from Oldham High School in 1945.  

On June 20, 1948, he married Dona Mae Pederson at Lake Preston and to this union five children were born.  Bob and Dona raised their children and farmed east of Oldham until their farm sale in the early 80’s. They moved to Huron and drove bus full-time for South Dakota Farmers Union tourism department.  Driving in every state but one is their favorite accomplishment, they also traveled in several countries.  

After retirement and a few years in Rapid City, they settled down in Madison in 2008.  

Bob was an active member of SD Farmers Union, Flying Farmers of America and Lion’s Club.  He volunteered for many years with Meals on Wheels and sang with the Silvertones while in Huron.  

Survivors include his wife, Dona of Madison; son, David (Lynn) Lundin of St. Joseph, MO and a daughter, DeeLois (Larry) Lembcke of Rapid City, SD; 9 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren & 15 great-great-grandchildren.  

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Karen (1994); infant daughter, Diane (1951); daughter, Ruby Brick-Paul (2017).
