Patricia “Pat” Agnes (Wagner) Winker, age 78, of Howard, passed away Friday, May 20, 2022, at her home in Howard. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, May 26, 2022, at St. Agatha Catholic Church in Howard. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 PM, Wednesday, at the church, with a recitation of the rosary and scripture service beginning at 6:30 PM.

Patricia Wagner was born December 2, 1943, to John and Agnes (Roth) Wagner, in Mitchell. She was raised on a farm near Epiphany, and attended school at Epiphany. She graduated from St. Agatha High School in 1961.

Patricia married Charles Winker on December 27, 1961, and together they raised their family in rural Winfred. She worked for Raven Industries and the Howard Good Samaritan Society, retiring as a CNA in 2009.  She was an active member of St. Agatha Catholic Church, as well as the Civic League and the Historical Society. She enjoyed volunteering for the Miner County Museum, and she loved weekly card playing with her friends. Patti always enjoyed helping the church and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a talented seamstress and a dedicated Twins fan.

Patricia is survived by six children, Daniel of Ramsey, MN; Jerry of Winfred, Nancy (John) Ward of Brandon, Elizabeth of Karlsruhe, Germany, Harold of Winfred, and John of St. Paul, MN; four grandchildren, Christina Winker of Sioux Falls, Paul, Samantha, and Clara Winker of Winfred; siblings, Barney (Connie) Wagner of Platte, Bob (MaryEllen) Wagner of Sioux Falls, Janice Johnson of Madison, Dick (Marsha) Wagner of Dimock, and John (Linda) Wagner of Madison; along with brother-in-law Doug Eggebraaten; and many nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles, and five siblings.
