Kelly Stephen Hyland was born July 4, 1957 to Allan & RoseMary (DeVaney) Hyland. He attended school
in Madison all 12 years and graduated in 1976. Over the years, Kelly worked at various jobs in the
Madison area, with the two most recent being Helena and Dawson Construction. Not only did Kelly
work a full-time job, but he also would farm the land around his house.
He loved life and would often be found teasing those that knew him, visiting with people, reading and
just being a loving brother and friend. Kelly enjoyed going to the sporting events of his great-nieces &
nephews. In his retirement years, he belonged to the Lake County History Club, buying & restoring old
pickups and tractors. He loved to collect toy John Deere Equipment and loved to attend car shows. He
loved to plant pumpkin seeds in the spring and host a “pumpkin picking party” in the fall for his nieces &
nephews and their families. Often times, he would buy extra pumpkins to ensure having enough for
everyone.
This past fall, he was able to attend the Annual Buffalo Roundup in Custer and it was truly a highlight for
him. He loved his family and enjoyed sharing holidays and special events with them. Kelly loved the 4 th
of July because he shared his birthday with his twin sister, Carol. Kelly had many quality traits but his
specialty was gift giving. He would always put a lot of thought into the gift he gave.

of Baltic, Shelly (Rick) Doblar, Carol (Drew) Skinner all of Madison; two brothers, Bill & Jeff Hyland both
