James Nessan

James Ernest Nessan, 75 of Badger, SD died Saturday, December 7, 2019 at his home in Badger.

James Nessan was born on January 25, 1944 to Joseph Ernest and Jessie (Schjodt) Nesaan.  He attended school at Lake Norden and graduated in 1962.  He married Bonnie Hawley on May 26, 1962 in Watertown, SD.  The couple moved to Lansing, Michigan where he worked for General Motors for 30 years before his retirement and moved back to South Dakota.

Jim loved to hunt, fish, golf, cribbage, crosswords, sing and play guitar.  He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his children Leah Henrys, Tim Nessan and Ericka Nessan and 8 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie; his parents; brother, Lee Nessan, sister, Marjorie Nessan and a son-in-law Michael Henrys.

Memorial services for Jim will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, December 13, 2019 at the Badger Lutheran Church in Badger, SD with Pastor David Patterson officiating.
