Gerald Fox

Gerald L. Fox, 67, of Humboldt passed away on July 7, 2020 at Ava’s Hospice House in Sioux Falls.  Funeral mass will begin at 2 pm on Friday, July 10 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Humboldt.  Visitation will begin at 6 pm with a 7 pm prayer service on Thursday, July 9 at Kinzley Funeral Home in Salem.

Gerald Lee Fox was born August 20, 1952 in Sioux Falls, SD to Eugene and Viola (Rothans) Fox.  He grew up in Humboldt and graduated from West Central High School.  On August 30, 1975 he married Kellie Sundermann at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Humboldt.  He worked at Kohl’s in Sioux Falls for many years.

Gerald was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church his entire life and was a past member of the Humboldt Legion Post 62.  He enjoyed throwing darts, racing, camping, and was an avid Chicago Bears fan.  He loved traveling with his family but going to the ocean was not his cup of tea.

Gerald is survived by: his wife, Kellie of Humboldt; daughters, Michelle Fox (Matt DeBoer) of Salem and Amber (Matt) Aanenson of Sioux Falls; grandchildren, Ryan, Kyle, Lydia, Andi, Wyatt, and Rylee; siblings, Don (Patti) of Sioux Falls, MarJean (Mike) Garrey of Humboldt, Deb (Joe) Sieverding of Tuscon, AZ and Cheryl (Mark) Mammenga of Humboldt.  He was preceded in death by a son, Curtis and his parents.
