Floyd Keith Ebdrup, age 85, of Wentworth, SD, passed away on August 25, 2021, at Madison Regional Health System in Madison, SD.

Funeral service will be 10:30 AM on Monday, August 30, 2021, at Lake Madison Lutheran Church with Rev. Phillip Hofinga officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Sunday at Rustand-Weiland Funeral Chapel, with a prayer service at 7 PM. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery, Wentworth. Floyd was born on May 29, 1936, to Milton and Ellen (Nelson) Ebdrup. Floyd graduated from Chester High School. He was drafted into the US Army in 1959 and served until 1965. Before and after serving in the Army, Floyd farmed with his father and then on his own until his retirement in 1998. In 1966, Floyd married Gloria Meyer in Madison and together, they raised one son, Brad.

Floyd took great pleasure in continuing to assist local farmers, attending many toy auctions, tinkering outside, but most of all, he loved and treasured family. He spent numerous hours at all of his grandsons’ activities, and teaching them about farm life.

Floyd is survived by his wife of 55 years, Gloria of Wentworth, SD; his son, Brad (Roxie) of Madison, SD; grandsons, Alex (Kathryn) of Colorado Springs, CO, Kyle and Randy, both of Rapid City, SD; two great-granddaughters, Addisyn and Amelia of Colorado Springs, CO.

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents and sister, LaVonne Schlump.
