Elaine and John enjoyed entertaining. Elaine was known to host many holidays and card games often ran into early morning hours. Even though Elaine and John had no biological children of their own, they treated all their nieces and nephews like their own children often babysitting and caring for the family. Besides enjoying playing cards with family, Elaine loved to treat family to dinners at her house and later at the golf course and she always insisted in picking up the bill. Elaine was an avid bowler and golfer. She was a member of the Women’s Golf Association. We all know Elaine’s passion was the slot machines. She and John made many trips to Las Vegas where they usually got free rooms and food. Later Elaine was seen often at the Royal River Casino in Flandreau. She was known to treat many family members to steak dinners and drinks at the casino. Elaine will be remembered for her generosity, her determination, and fun-loving attitude.
