Dick Boldt

Dick Boldt, age 86, of Madison, passed away Thursday, September 14, 2023 at the Madison Regional
Health System.

Funeral service will be 11 AM on Thursday, September 21 st at St. John Lutheran Church with Rev. Karl
Breddin officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 PM on Wednesday at Rustand-Weiland Funeral Chapel with a
prayer service at 7 PM. Visitation will continue on Thursday one hour prior to the service at the church.

Richard John Boldt was born on July 2, 1937, at Madison, SD, to Richard and Martha (Roesler) Boldt. He
graduated from Orland High School in 1955. He married Mary Morris on Oct. 6, 1957, at Orland. They
farmed in the Orland area for 20 years before moving to Madison. He did custom hay baling and worked
at a number of factories and appliance stores in Madison.

Survivors include a daughter, Deb Langland of Wilton, Iowa; two sons, John (Colette Pifer) of Catonsville,
MD and Jeff (Robin) of Madison; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 2016, his parents, brother and two sisters.
