Diane Thomas

Diane Thomas, age 85, of Madison, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2004 at Bethel Lutheran Home.

Diane was born January 28, 1939 in Madison, SD, to Dan & Fairy (Robb) Potter.  She was raised on a farm and graduated from Winfred High School in 1957.  She attended college in Mankato, MN. Diane worked at Miner County Bank in Howard. She married Lyle Thomas in 1961 and they moved to Yankton where she worked at Valley State Bank. In 1973, they move back to Madison where she started to work at Norwest Bank.  After 23 years of service, Diane retired in 1996.

Diane is survived by her two daughters, Renae (Dewey) Lundgren and Tammy Pallum both of Madison; one grandson, Sean Hagerman of Colorado; one sister Nyla (Arnold) Baltzer of Madison and two sisters-in-law, Karen Potter of Winfred and Bonnie Callies of Madison.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle in 2010; her parents; infant child; two brothers, Lindon and Jerry and two stepdaughters.
