David B. Wickman, 80, of Salem passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021.  Visitation will be held from 5:30-6:30 PM on Wed, October 20th at Kinzley Funeral Home in Salem with service to follow.  A private family burial will be held at Wildwood Cemetery in Salem.

David Bennett Wickman was born on September 9th, 1941 to Ruth and Marden Wickman. He lived in Minnesota for part of his life and graduated from Kerkhoven High School in 1959. While in Minnesota he was an avid fisherman and fishing tour guide on Mille Lacs Lake, MN for a number of years.

He then went to Elk City, Oklahoma to work in the oil fields and later with a road construction company when he met LeAnne in Salem. He then moved to Salem and they got married in 1985.

In Salem he worked for Feterl Manufacturing for a short time until he realized his passion was truck driving. Dave and LeAnne bought a semi and Dave started driving for Tote Inc. In 1986 they decided to start their own trucking company, which went thru 2007.  He then went and drove truck for A-O Express until his health wouldn’t allow.

David enjoyed the outdoors through camping, fishing, and hunting with family and friends.

Those grateful for having shared his life include his wife, LeAnne and their 2 children, Ross (Kara), Lydia (Kyle) Mudder, along with 2 other sons, Wade (Deb), Steve, and daughter Christina Glamm as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, his brother Dan (Karin). Also, many relatives and friends.
