Christine Marie Lutz was born November 18, 1968 in Rockford, Illinois to Cletus & Sharon Lee (Spaid) Yeager.  She graduated from Aberdeen Central High School in 1987 and continued her education towards a nursing degree at Presentation College.  While living in Aberdeen, she worked various jobs in the area.  Christi met and began a relationship with Jack Heyd.  During that relationship, their son, Chancellor was born.  She dedicated her time to raising her son and being a great mom.  As Chancellor got older, he began playing hockey and fell in love with the sport.  Little did anyone know that Christi fell in love with the sport also.  She began her new job as “hockey mom” and took it to a whole other level.  She immersed herself in with the practices and games.

Everybody that knew Christi, knew that she had a big heart and loved to be nice to everybody around her.  Her love was so profound she would let people into her home if they needed a place to stay for a while and even kept a few stray animals over the years.  When she wasn’t caring for those around her, she loved her flower gardens and keeping up her yard.

In 2002, while living in Aberdeen, she met Scott Lutz and eventually they were married in 2005.  They remained in Aberdeen until moving to Madison in 2017.

She is survived by her husband, Scott; son, Chancellor Heyd; mother, Sharon Lee (Richard) Rislov and brother, Dale (Karen) Yeager all of Madison; brother, Wayne (Becky) Yeager of Brandon; 3 nieces and 7 great-nieces & nephews.

Preceding her in death was her father, Cletus Yeager.
