Charles Christen “Chuck” Stiefvater, age 80, of Burnsville, NC, entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 2, 2021.  Born in Clark County, WI, in 1941, he was a son of the late Edward and Dorothy Feterl Stiefvater.  Chuck moved to Salem, SD, as a young boy and grew up there until moving to Port Washington, WI, in his teens. After graduating from Port Washington High School, Chuck became a U.S. Marine, and honorably served Presidential duty with the John F. Kennedy administration. After completing his service, Chuck returned to Port Washington, where he lived and worked for nearly 25 years. After taking a position with OMC, Chuck eventually relocated to Burnsville, NC, where he worked for approximately 20 years before retiring.  He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed gardening.

Left to cherish his memories is his loving wife of 30 years, Edith Wilson Stiefvater; three children: Lisa Swanke and husband, Michael, of West Bend, WI, Jeff Stiefvater and wife, Kris, of Lincoln, IL, and Stacey Forkner of Waterford, WI; two step-children: Steve Bailey and wife, Pam, of Burnsville and Janet Campbell and husband, Mike, of Atlanta, GA; sister, Karen Gierach and husband, Roger, of Port Washington, WI; brother, Jerry Stiefvater and wife, Roxy, of Slinger, WI; eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his sisters: Bernadette Stiefvater and Sharon Mueller and his brother, DeWayne Stiefvater.
