Bradley A. Franken

Bradley A. Franken, 63, of Madison passed away surrounded by his family on September 3, 2024 at Madison Regional Health System. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 am on Monday, September 9, 2024 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ramona. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation with family present will be held on Sunday from 5 – 7 pm at Kinzley Funeral Home, Madison.

Bradley Franken was born on May 30, 1961 to Elmer and Maxine (Steinbach) Franken in Brookings, SD. He served as a c-130 crew chief in the Air Force from July 1978 through July 1982. Brad then worked for the Madison Central School District until 2016 when he retired as the Director of Maintenance. He was a man of many talents, but he especially enjoyed his time at Prairie Village with his stationary engine displays. He loved riding motorcycle, camping, making wine, four-wheeling and helping Todd Jensen with harvest each year.

Brad is survived by: his wife, Brenda of Madison; son, Alan (April) Franken of Elbow Lake, MN and their children Tayven, Tenley, Hadlyn and Holdyn and daughter, Emily (Pat) Leitheiser of Tea, SD and their children, Berkley, Baylor, Olive and Opal; siblings, Barb (Don) Gause, Brice (Brenda) Franken, Belinda (Dan) Fritz, Bernie (Dennis) Hanson, Blaine (Marcia) Franken and Bev (Chris) Thayer; and numerous nieces nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
