Alice Severson

Alice Severson, 99 of Arlington, SD died on Friday, October 30, 2020 at Avantara Arlington.

Alice Larsen was born in Laketon Twp north of Lake Oakwood on June 7, 1921 to John and Maude Larsen.  She attended country school and graduated from Arlington High School in 1939.  She married Milo Severson on April 8, 1939 at Mitchell, SD. Following her marriage she became a member of the Lutheran Church.  She and Milo moved to thier farm north of Arlington where they lived until Milo’s death in 1981.  She moved to a home in Arlington.  In 2002 she moved to the Parkview Apartments in Arlington.

She enjoyed bowling, bingo and visiting with friends and neighbors.

She is survived by a daughter Dyleen (Robert) Henrikson of Arlington, grandchildren, Rick Severson of Watertown, Wendy (Todd) Schreter of Sioux Falls and Danette Henrikson of Minneapolis, 3 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Milo in 1981, her son Deloen in 1995, grandson, Marlin in 2015, 3 sisters, Irene, Mildred and Frances and a brother Lyle Larsen.

Funeral services for Alice Severson will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 4, 2020 in the Johnson-Henry Funeral Home, Arlington with burial in the Arlington City Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 5-7 pm on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at the funeral home and preceding services on Wednesday. Wearing of masks is requested.
