United Way hits DownTown in MadTown milestone

Interlakes Area United Way has reached a new milestone, surpassing $15,000 in total funds raised through DownTown in MadTown events since 2018. This summer’s series contributed $3,701, bringing the total raised to $15,385.

Hosted by the Greater Madison Area Chamber of Commerce, DownTown in MadTown has become a community favorite for live music, food, and family fun on Egan Avenue. IAUW board members manage the beer garden at each event, earning a portion of sales and tips to support local nonprofit efforts.

IAUW President Lori Gustaf says these funds directly support their partner agencies, helping build stronger communities together. She thanked the Chamber and director Eric Hortness for making this possible.

DownTown in MadTown has been a summer staple since 2018, with the exception of 2020 due to the pandemic.
