Sioux Valley Energy awards Operation Round Up grants

Three organizations serving Lake County residents received a combined $2,750 from Sioux Valley Energy’s Operation Round Up® program, during the June 2024 Sioux Valley Energy Customers’ Trust Board of Directors meeting. In all, $35,000 in grants were awarded.

In Lake County, grant recipients include the Mad Arts Theatre Company in Madison, which used a $750 grant to help produce its first community theater production of Pride and Prejudice at Prairie Village Opera House in Madison in June.

Making Oldham-Ramona Excellent/Ramona Express Baseball in Ramona will use a $1,000 grant to purchase equipment and supplies for the amateur baseball team.

Ramona Community Club was awarded a $1,000 grant for its summer ball program serving students ages 5 to 12.

Nearly $2.3 million has been donated to area non-profits, schools, and communities since the year 2000 when Sioux Valley Energy started its Operation Round Up® program.

The next deadline to apply for funding is August 20 with grants awarded in September.
