Sheriff’s Office Warns of Phone Scam

In a social media post, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office said they have received a report of a scam involving the use of the sheriff’s office name and number. The caller asks the receiver to contact the office at a number that does not belong to the sheriff department.

In this case the receiver looked up the actual number and contacted the department to let them know about the scam.
