Madison’s Veterans Honor Park Receives 50K Donation From First PREMIER Bank

Madison’s Veterans Honor Park received a large donation Tuesday that will help its committee in meeting its fundraising goals for the project.  

First PREMIER Bank and PREMIER Bankcard donated 50-thousand dollars to the project on Tuesday.  First PREMIER Bank V-P and Market Leader Floyd Rummel of Madison presented the donation to representatives from the Ronald Westby VFW Post 2638 and the McKibbin-Mosher American Legion Post 25 at the site of the Veterans Honor Park.

Rummel said that PREMIER is proud to be a part of this important project.

Veterans Honor Park committee member Roy Lindsay said PREMIER’s donation will help in finalizing the project.

The park is located on land on South Washington Avenue in Madison donated by Jerry and Sue Larsen of Madison.  Lindsay said site preparation began about six months ago, and the first structures were installed in June. 

Lindsay said the park’s granite has been ordered and could be installed as early as this fall.
