Madison Commission Meeting Tonight at 5:30

The Madison City Commission will consider the transfer of funds from reserve accounts to cover

expenses and repairs necessary for water production and treatment, at their meeting tonight. The utilities department is requesting to use of up to 15-thousand dollars from the well maintenance reserve fund to cover additional costs for rehabilitation of Well #23. The project was originally budgeted for 10-thousand dollars, but further inspection showed additional work was needed. The department staff believes they can save money if they complete the additional work while the new pump and motor are being installed.

Also today the commission will consider possible action related to assessing liquidated damages for the RD Phase 1A and 1B Projects. Those projects were completed this summer.

Other agenda items today include Change Orders for the Industrial Park Improvements project and the Water System Improvements, Segment 3.

Tonight’s City Commission meeting begins at 5:30, in the commission room at Madison City Hall.
