Madison Central gets update on the state of its facilities

The Madison Central School Board heard a presentation from JLG Architects on Monday, during their regular meeting. JLG had been hired to conduct an assessment of the Elementary, Middle, and High School buildings.

Jacob Ricke with JLG, who made the presentation, said they met with staff and administrators, reviewed drawings and then toured the facilities to make the assessment.

The presentation started with the elementary school, which Ricke said is in good condition.

Ricke said there are a few issues at the elementary that are in need of repair or replacement.

They also evaluated the size of rooms.

Monday’s presentation was the first step for the board in evaluating the district’s facilities, and identifying any needed improvements. No action was taken at Monday’s meeting. Tomorrow on KJAM we’ll look at the assessment of the Madison Middle School.
