Lake Area Improvement Corporation Reviews Progress at Annual Meeting

The Lake Area Improvement Corporation held its annual meeting on Thursday night at the Dakota Prairie Playhouse in Madison. LAIC Executive Director Brooke Rollag said there are a number of goals the LAIC is working towards, including trying to meet the housing needs of the Madison Community.Â
Rollag said work is also continuing toward a new child care facility.Â
Rollag said the Industrial Park continues to see growth, with the expansion of Global Polymar, and the new buildings for Fox Promo and Madison Physical Therapy. The LAIC is also working towards converting the former Runnings building on 3rd street into a Athletic Skills Facility, and has continued their Downtown Facade Improvement Grant Program.Â
Rollag also announced the LAIC’s growth and Achievement Award winner during Thursday’s meeting. Heartland Energy was presented the award, which highlights a local business’ job growth, leadership, and achievement.
