Electric Vehicle Ride and Drive event in Sioux Falls Thursday

The second annual Sioux Falls Area Electric Vehicle Ride and Drive will be held at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds on Thursday.

The event is co-sponsored by Sioux Valley Energy, Southeastern Electric, East River Electric, Xcel Energy and the City of Sioux Falls.

Ben Pierson with Sioux Valley Energy said it is a hands-on experience.

Pierson said they are hearing more questions about electric vehicles.

Electric cars available to drive during Thursday’s event include Audis, Fords, Nissans and a Volvo.

The Sioux Falls Area Ride and Drive and Electric Vehicle show is 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. tomorrow at the W. H. Lyon Fairgrounds.
