County meeting will include more budget discussion
Lake County Commissions will continue their 2025 budget discussions during their regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday. The county is approaching an end of September deadline to approve the 2025 budget.Â
Preliminary budget estimates for 2025 have shown the county could have to use as much as 700-thousand dollars of reserves in order to balance the budget. That has led to talks of limited overlay of county roads again in 2025, after no overlay work was budgeted for 2024.Â
Other items on the agenda for Tuesday include an update on the results of a security assessment from Buildings and Grounds Superintendent Dave Hare. Commissioners will also consider plats for The Bishop’s House Addition, and Lot 1 of Graff’s Addition. They will also consider a number of variance requests.Â
The Lake County Commission meeting begins at 9am, Tuesday morning, in the commission room of the Lake County Courthouse.
