City of Madison Establishes Five Core Values

The City of Madison has announced the establishment of its five core values. The city says the values were crafted through collaboration and input from dedicated stakeholders, and will serve as the foundation for the City’s policies and initiatives moving forward. The five core values are: Accountability, Community Focus, Integrity, Respect, and Safety. 

City Administrator Jameson Berreth says the development of these core values involved the contributions of the public, elected officials, and business owners. He adds they are grateful for the input received during this process, which ensures that these values truly represent the spirit and aspirations of our community.

The City of Madison will provide clear definitions of each value within the next couple of months. These core values will not only guide the City of Madison’s daily operations but also shape the City’s mission and vision. The collaborative process of developing the mission and vision for the City of Madison will begin once the values are clearly defined.
