City Construction Projects Continuing to Progress
Summer construction season is progressing well in Madison, despite heavy rains last month. The NE 3rd street mill and overlay was completed in early June. On the N. Union Ave. project, all the underground utilities have been completed. Underground Utilities have also been completed on the Roosevelt, Maplewood, and NE 8th street areas.Â
Work on creek walls in Madison has also been progressing, even with the heavier flow of water. There are three sites along the creek currently under construction. Crews have been replacing riprap and fabric, as well as removing brush and trees. City Administrator Jameson Berreth said some repairs after the June flooding, but overall the project is still expected to be completed on time this year.
