City approves change orders for Trojan Village and Public Works Building
The Madison City Commission approved three change orders at their meeting on Monday. The first change was for the Trojan Village Street Construction and Extension of Washington Avenue and Division Avenue. The existing subgrade was found to be soft and in need of stabilization. Aggregate thickness will be increased from 8” to 12” thick except at the intersection of Washington Avenue where it will be 16” thick.
The other change orders were for the Public Works Building renovation. The first would change Change 8 windows from fixed storefront windows to awning type windows that could be opened. The total cost of that change would be $8,395. The second change order was for a time extension of 56 days for substantial completion and readiness for final payment, due to a wait time for materials that were part of a previous change order. It moves the substantial completion date from October 25, to December 13 of 2024.
Also Monday, the city passed two resolutions, related to Clean Water State Revolving Fund financing for the Egan Avenue improvement project.
