City Agrees to Long Term Water Tower Maintenance Contract
The City of Madison approved a long term water tower maintenance contract, during Monday’s City Commission meeting. The winning bid for the contract came from Utility Service Group.
The city’s water towers require regular maintenance and inspections. The maintenance plans work as a way to help budget for that work according to Rick Nighbert, Madison’s Water Purification and Wastewater Treatment Plant Superintendent.
Nighbert says the North East Water tower is going to require some maintenance to prevent larger problems.
USG provided a 20 year cost estimate schedule that totaled a little over 1.5 million dollars.
