32,820 Blizzards for 2024 Miracle Treat Day

32,820 blizzards were sold this year in Madison, for the 19th Annual Children’s Miracle Treat Day. As in years past, the event at the Dairy Queen in Madison included a full day of fun and games, and raised money for the Children’s Miracle Network. In addition to the proceeds from every blizzard sold going to CMN, two local families added special donations. The Kevin and Lauri Minnaert family donated one dollar to CMN for every blizzard sold from 12-to-1pm Thursday. The Gitzen family in Madison also did a match from 5-6pm.

While many blizzards were sold in person Thursday, around 16-hundred were ordered and prepared in advance. Dairy Queen owner Delon Mork says that while that’s only a fraction of the total sales, the pre-ordered blizzards are one of his favorite parts of Miracle Treat Day.

Mork says big plans are already underway for the 20th annual Miracle Treat Day next year.
