The Madison girls three game winning streak came to an end Tuesday night, with a 52-42 loss in Vermillion. Madison jumped out to a quick 9-2 lead in the first quarter, as their full court press caught the Tanagers off guard. After an early timeout, Vermillion settled down and took a lead by the end of the quarter, and pushed the lead to 11 points by halftime.

Madison rallied twice in the 2nd half, getting as close as 5 points in the 4th quarter. But three straight turnovers by the Bulldogs ended that run, and allowed Vermillion to put the game away.

Morgan Anderson scored 10 points for Madison. Kendra Leighton had 9 points and 9 steals as well. Lexi Saunders had 17 points for Vermillion. The Bulldogs will be back on the road this Friday, traveling to Flandreau to take on the Fliers.
