After a tight first-half, the Madison Boys Basketball team found themselves on the wrong end of a swing on Monday night, as visiting Vermillion came away with a 71-49 victory. The Bulldogs trailed by two points at halftime, but the number one ranked Tanagers came out with a 24-10 scoring output in the third quarter to take a hold of the game. Both teams shot over 45 percent in the contest, as Carter Bergheim scored 15 points and Connor Hively chipped in with 14 for Madison. The game snapped a short two-game win streak for the Bulldogs, who now sit at 9-7 on the season. They still hold the #1 seed in Region 5A and will welcome in Beresford on Thursday to the Madison Gymnasium.
