Turnovers Prove Costly For Madison Girls

Last night, the Madison girls basketball team was sent home from Arlignton with a loss in their first game of the 2023 calendar year.

In only their third game of the season the Bulldogs struggled to score points, aside from Zoey Gerry who recorded her second double-double of the season.

Between not being able to generate much offense outside of Gerry and turning the ball over 32 times, Madison was not able to do enough to overcome the errors, and lost to the Cardinals 54-43.

Gerry ended the night with 24 points and 13 rebounds for Madison. Karley Lurz was second on the team in points with six, while both Cadence Zens and Eden duRandt both had four. duRandt also grabbed four rebounds.

The loss drops Madison to 1-2 this year.

The Bulldogs stay on the road today, when they travel to play in Dell Rapids this afternoon at 4:30pm. That game can be heard on AM 1390 or online at AmazingMadison.com.
