Three Bulldog boys qualify for State Golf Meet

The Madison boys placed 5th on Monday, at the Region 1A Golf Meet in Milbank. The Bulldogs as a team shot 373. Aberdeen Roncalli won the team title, with a 348. Groton finished 2nd, with  Milbank and Sioux Valley tied for 3rd.  

The Bulldogs were led by Braylon Oftedal, who finished tied for 6th place after a round of 86. Casyn Crabtree placed 15th with a 92, Mason Beaner with 18th with a 96 and Cannon Hunsley 22nd after a round of 99. 

Brevin Fliehs of Groton Area shot a 7-over par 79 and won medalist honors by two shots over Jonathan DeBoer of Milbank.

The top three teams, in this case four because of the 3rd place tie, all qualify for State. Oftedal Crabtree, and Beaner all qualified individually for the Class A state meet, which will be held October 7th and 8th at Central Valley Golf Course in Hartford.
