Six Bulldogs and One Relay Team Competed on First Day of State Meet

On the first day of the SDHSAA Class A State Track and Field meet, the Madison Bulldogs had six individuals and one team compete in the meet.

The Bulldogs boys team had two runners in both the 110m Hurdles and the 100m Dash. Shane Veenhoff finished 14th (16.33) and Justin Peters was 19th (16.80) in the 110m Hurdles. In the 100m Dash, Caden DeVries and Bruce Galde finished back-to-back, with DeVries in 14th (11.41) and Galde 15th (11.42). 

Parker Johnson had a 21st placing Discus Throw throw toss of 113’07.

The Lady Bulldogs 4x800m Relay of Ellie Keller,  Ashlyn Rustand, Sammy Troxell, and Jessie Tappe finished 14th.

Lydia Nelson had a Top Ten Triple Jump with her seventh place jump of 33’09. 

The Bulldogs return to action this morning, with Jessie Tappe leading the day off with the 3200m Run at 9am.Â
