MHS Girls Tennis opens season today in Pierre

Students from Madison High School will take part in the first official competition of the 2024-25 athletics season today, when the girls tennis team takes to the courts in Pierre. Over the course of today and Saturday Madison will take on four other schools in duals at Pierre’s Griffin Park. 

Madison has 21 girls listed on the varsity and JV roster, including 8 middle schoolers. The Bulldogs return some of their top players from a year ago, including junior Delilah Maxwell, sophomore Sienna Maxwell, and junior Audrey Allen, who were the Flight 1, 2, and 3 singles players respectively last year. 

Next week the Bulldogs will host a singles invite on Friday August 23rd, and a doubles invite on the 24th, at the MHS Tennis Courts.
