Madison Track team competed in Lennox Invite
The Madison Track team traveled to Lennox on Thursday to compete in the Lennox Invite. Coach Maxine Unterbrunner said the team did a great job and had many individual personal records on the day.
Individually for the girls. Izzy Gors and Kylie Krusemark placed 2nd and 3rd in the 100 meter dash. In the 3200 meter run, Jessie Tappe finished first and Ellie Keller came in third.
Abby Brooks finished in second place in both the 100 meter and 300 meter hurdles.
In the field events, Emily VanLiere had a 2nd place finish in the High Jump. In the Girls Shot Put Juliana Hodges placed first and Bella Maxwell was second.
On the Boy’s side, Kadin Hanscom and Bruce Galde place 2nd and 3rd in the 100 meter dash. The boys 4 x 100 meter relay team consisting of Hanscom, Sutton Bern, Mike Peters and Galde finished 2nd. Hanscom and Galde along with Aspen Dahl and Nate Ricke finished first in the 4 x 200 Meter Relay.
In the Field events, Aspen Dahl tied for second in the High Jump. In the Boys Triple Jump Madison had a 1,2,4 finish. Truman Stoller placed first followed by Kadin Hanscom with Mike Peters placing 4th. The Boys Discus Throw had Trey Smith placing 1st with Colby Vostad in 4th and Cam Buchlotz 5th.
The next action for the Madison Track team will be Tuesday when they travel to Brookings.
