Madison Track & Field Team Did Great at the Watoma Relays in Watertown

The Madison Track & Field Team competed in the Watoma Relays in Watertown and Coach Maxine Unterbrunner said the team did an absolutely great job on a chilly day at Watertown.  Abby Brooks and Kadin Hanscom were given the MVP award after helping their relay teams place  first along with their first-place finishes in their individual events.  

Individually for the Bulldog girls.  Abby Brooks and Izzy Gors placed first and second in the 200 meter dash.  Jessie Tappe had a first place finish in the 1600 meter run.  Brooks also finished first in the 100 m and 300 m hurdles.   In the 400 meter relay, the team of Izzy Gors, Ella Petterreins, Maycee Theede and Kylie Krusemark finished first as did the 800 meter Relay team of Gors, Petterreins, Brooks and Krusemark

On the Boys side, Kadin Hanscom and Bruce Galde finished one and two in the 100 meter dash.  Braeden Keller took first in the 800 meter run.  The 400 Meter Relay team of Hanscom, Galde, Sutter Bern and Mike Peters finished first as did the 800 Meter Relay team consisting of Hanscom, Peters, Galde and Nate Ricke.   In the field events Kadin Hanscom placed first in the Long Jump.  Truman Stoller captured first place in the Triple Jump with Colby Vostad taking first in the Discus.  

The MHS Track & Field team has a big week this week.  Today they will be competing in the  Tea Invitation and  the O’Gorman and Howard Wood meet on Friday and the second day of Howard Wood on Saturday.
