Madison Softball Splits Pair Of Sunday Games

Madison Softball split a pair of games on Sunday, dropping a high scoring affair to West Central and rebounding with a win over Baltic/Chester/Flandreau. West Central scored at least a run in all five frames in the first contest, vaulting them to a 12-7 win. Emmi Clarke, Julie Hodges and Allison Vacanti all hit home runs for Madison, Kelsey O’Connell took the loss on the mound.

The Lady Bulldogs then used a 12 run first inning to defeat Baltic/Chester/Flandreau 18-6 in four innings. Julie Hodges went four for four with three runs scored and seven RBIs. She also hit a grand slam in the contest. O’Connell was on base four times and scored four runs, Vacanti scattered six hits and six runs over the four innings to pick up the win on the mound. Madison Softball now at 8-2 on the season.
