Madison Softball, competing at the State Tournament, picked up a pair of victories on Saturday, thumping Lennox 12-4 and then walking-off Tea 12-11. Versus Lennox, Madison rapped out 18 hits and had every starter have at least one RBI. Against Tea, the Lady Bulldogs got a game tying home run from Emmi Clarke and then a walk-off home-run from Amanda Vacanti in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Then on Sunday, in a semifinal match-up with West Central, Madison fell behind early and lost 10-0. West Central scored four runs in the top of the first and added five more in the top of the second. Dropping to the elimination bracket, the Lady Bulldogs rebounded with a 2-0 win over Sturgis. Clarke and Vacanti each picked up an RBI in the top of the first, Vacanti scattered seven hits in seven innings to pick up the victory. In a rematch with West Central in the championship game, Madison once again had their bats go silent against the Trojans, falling 11-0 in six innings.

Lady Bulldogs Softball finished runner-up in the Class B tournament and ended the fall with an 11-4 record.
