Bulldogs Qualify for First Ever SDHSAA Class A Softball Tournament

The Madison Softball team yesterday qualified for the first ever SDHSAA Class A Softball tournament with a 15-0 shut out over Mobridge-Pollock.

The Bulldogs opened up the game with three runs in the bottom of the first inning to grab the three run advantage. They then had a huge double-digit inning in the bottom of the second, scoring 11 runs in the inning.

Madison added one more run in the third, being more than enough to get the win with a 15-0 final.

Amanda Vacanti struck out the first five batters she faced on her way to pitching a perfect game for the Bulldogs.

Madison will play in the Class A State tournament next week with the first round starting next Thursday, June 1st.
