Madison opens State Baseball Tournament today

The Class B High School Baseball Tournament begins today, and Augustana’s Ronken Field in Sioux Falls. Games begin today at 11am, with Bon Homme/Avon taking on Parkston/Ethan/Tripp. That will be followed by #1 seed Dell Rapids taking on Rapid City Christian. At 5pm it’s Howard vs. Platte Geddes/Dakota Christian.
The final game of the day is the #2 seed Madison/Chester vs. Mt. Vernon/Plankinton. The Bulldogs were 10-0 during the regular season, and won both their games in the Region Tournament to advance to State. Mt. Vernon was 5-6 during the regular season, and upset Lennox and Sioux Falls Christian to qualify for the State Tournament.
The semifinal and Championship games will all be played Saturday in Sioux Falls.
