Madison Legion Splits Weekend Doubleheader With West Central

The Madison Legion split a doubleheader with West Central on Saturday, winning game one 14-1 and falling short, 5-4, in game two.

Madison jumped out early in game one, plating six runs in the top of the first, added four in the second and four more in the third. While only getting six hits in the contest, Madison took advantage of 14 walks throughout the affair.

Game two saw West Central post four runs in the third and one more in the fourth to lead 5-0. Madison would rally to pull within one, but ultimately fell short. Colby Mennis picked up a pair of RBIs in the loss. Madison Legion will be back in action tomorrow, Tuesday, hosting Lake Norden.
