Madison Bulldog Basketball split a pair of games with Canton on Saturday afternoon. The visiting C-Hawks won the girls contest 40-31 and the Bulldogs won the boys game 69-59. It was a defensive minded affair in the first contest, as both teams shot under 30 percent. Abby Brooks had nine points and pulled down 11 rebounds to lead Madison, who saw their record fall to 5-12. They will look to snap their losing streak on Tuesday versus Milbank.

Connor Hively scored 22 points, all in the second half, to lead Madison to their second victory in as many days on Saturday. There were nine ties and eight lead changes in the boys game. Madison made big shots down the stretch and had seven more assists than turnovers. The Bulldogs return to action this evening, hosting Vermillion. You can hear the game, with a start a little after 7pm, on AM1390.
