Madison Gymnastics in the Yankton Triangular
In the Yankton Triangular on Monday, the Madison Gymnastics team finished in second place, after getting edged out by the host team, Yankton. Huron finished in third.
Yankton had the slight edge over Madison with a final score of 126.45 to 126.2. Huron scored a total of 119.15 points.
Yankton won both the bars and beams, scoring 31 and 32.25 points in those events. Madison won the floor event with a team score of 31.55, while both Madison and Yankton tied the vault with both teams scoring 33.85
Karlie Nelson for Madison finished with the best overall score, scoring 33.55 points. She was followed by two Yankton athletes with Burkley Olson in second, scoring 31.15 and Mackenzie Steinbrecher getting 30.75 points to finish in third.Â

Madison will return to the mats next year when they travel to compete against O’Gorman on January 5th, 2023.Â
