Madison Gold 14U grabbed 2 wins on Saturday, one against Tri-Valley and the other against Garretson. Madison scored 11 runs and seven hits in the 11-6 win over Tri-Valley and Ben Brooks also homered. Colby Claussen broke the 6-6 tie in the fourth with a two-run home run to left field. Brock Eppe and Curtis Thennis each had two hits. Lincoln Anderson gave up all six runs, but only one was earned. In game two, Garretson went down 12-0 for Madison’s second shutout of the season. Jordan Pedersen had a team-high three hits and four RBIs. Ben Brooks picked up the win with six strikeouts. Grady Kane gave up the only hit of the game.
On Sunday, Madison Gold beat up on West Central 20-2. Madison scored nine runs in the sixth and eight Bulldogs picked up at least one RBI. Colby Claussen picked up the win, pitching six innings and struck out seven. Through six contests, Madison has outscored opponents 82 to 10.
