Madison Field Athletes Lead The Charge At First Dakota Relays

The Field athletes led the charge for Madison on Thursday at the First Dakota Relays in Yankton. Bulldogs sophomore Audrey Nelson took 1st place in the High Jump, clearing a height of 5 feet 2 inches. Madison also had a 1st place finish in the Pole Vault, with Kylie Krusemark clearing 10 feet for the title. Ella Peterreins was close behind, finishing in 3rd place. Bella Maxwell added a 4th place finish in the Shot Put, while also placing 6th in the Discus. 

For the Madison boys, Payton Wolf took 6th place in the 300 meter hurdles. The boys also placed 6th in the 4×100 relay, and 5th place in the 4×200. Trey Smith took 4th place in the Discus and 6th in the Shot Put. 

Some events had to be canceled Thursday as a thunderstorm moved into the area. 

The Bulldogs are scheduled to host the Barker Relays today, weather permitting.
