Madison Dominant in Victory Over Chamberlain

The Madison Bulldogs Boys Basketball team last night secured their fifth win the last six games, getting a dominating 76-40 victory over Chamberlain.

Once the Bulldogs gained the lead early in the game, they never let up, outscoring the Cubs 20-11 in the first quarter. Madison’s 20 first quarter points were more than Chamberlain had in the entire first half, as the Bulldogs took a 43-19 lead into halftime.

Madison added 23 more points in the third quarter, as they continued to extend their lead before emptying out the bench in the final quarter, going on to win their third home game this season by a score of 76-40.

Aiden Jensen came up one rebound short of his fifth double-double this season, scoring 21 points and grabbing nine rebounds. This was the sixth time this year that Jensen has scored 20 or more points.

Andrew Comes added 13 points for the Bulldogs, going 2-6 from three-point range. Chuck Callahan also had two made three-pointers for Madison, totaling eight points. Eli Barger had eight points for Madison as well.

Ben Brooks scored seven points, while dishing out six assists and securing five rebounds.

As a team, Madison shot 31-51 from the field, and hit just under 50% of their three-pointers, shooting 9-20 from beyond the arc. This compared to Chamberlain’s 16-45 shooting and 3-24 from three-point range.

The Bulldogs improved to 6-5 with the victory as they remain undefeated against teams with losing records. Madison will stay at Madison High School this weekend when they play Tiospa Zina in the Dak XII/NEC Clash on Saturday, January 28th. The Bulldogs game at 5:45pm can be heard on AM 1390 or online at AmazingMadison.com.
