The Madison boys basketball team struggled to find offense on Thursday night, in a 66-48 loss on the road to the Dell Rapids Quarriers. Both teams struggled to score early. The game was tied at 9 each after the 1st quarter and then Dell Rapids began a three point assault in quarter number two, leading 27-20 at halftime. 

The third quarter saw the Quarriers continue to turn Madison turnovers into points. The Dell Rapids lead ballooned to 19 points in the 3rd, and the starters for both teams were done early in the 4th. 

Dell Rapids junior Colin Rentz led four Quarriers in double figures with 17 points. Tyler Tappe had 17 points and 9 rebounds. Connor Hively had a season high 10 points in the loss. The Bulldogs fall to 6-2 on the season, and will be back in action tonight, hosting Sioux Falls Christian. The Chargers also lost on Thursday night, 59-58 to Vermillion.
