Madison Basketball Split Doubleheader Against Elk Point-Jefferson

Madison boys and girls basketball split decisions on Saturday evening.

The Lady Bulldogs combined for only 12 points in the second half and Madison dropped their first game of the season to Elk Point-Jefferson 44-32. Zoey Gerry was the only Lady Bulldog in double figures, scoring 11 points and grabbing six rebounds. Madison turned the ball over 19 times to the Huskies. The team has had 47 turnovers in the first two games of the season. The girls are 1-1.

A big second half powers the Madison boys team to a victory over EPJ 52-47. Nate Ricke had 16 points and a steal for the Bulldogs. Aiden Jensen also scored in double digits with 15 and had a block defensively. Despite the win, Madison only netted one three pointer for the game, shooting only 5% for the game.

Both teams are back at home tomorrow night, taking on Tri-Valley.
