Madison Basketball: Boys Win/Girls Prep For Playoffs

Entering the final week of regular season play, the Madison Boys basketball team picked up a 69-53 at Milbank on Monday night. Madison held a one point lead after one and increased that to eight at the break. Milbank came within three after 24 minutes of game time, but a 24-10 scoring output by the visitors in the final frame sealed the win. Madison shot 46% in the game and had a trio of players score in double-digits, with Logan Albee and Connor Hivley each with 14 points. Aspen Dahl finished with 10 rebounds and 8 points. Madison boys, now at 11-8, will wrap up their regular season on Friday at Viborg-Hurley.

Coming up this evening, the Lady Bulldogs will open up Region 5A play – on the road taking on Wagner. Madison is the five seed and Wagner the four seed. The winner will advance to take on the number one seed in McCook Central/Montrose on Thursday. Game time this evening is set for 7pm and the action is on AM1390.
